Wow! this is such a glad news Dalton, coming out during tough times, when funding looks bleak everywhere.I must say it's a golden opportunity. Instead of moving out the batch to later date, YC has decided to adapt to the situation and modify the means of conducting!
Thanks for this Dalton. We are applicants for S2020. Our MVP weighs about 250 lbs so this is more ideal for us. Our solution was built for our COO's essential businesses that actually saw a spike in revenue since the outbreak. Looking forward!
Thanks for this Dalton. We at GyltFree ( https://www.gyltfree.in )are extremely excited and hope this turns out to be a huge success. We have applied to the S2020 batch and we hope to get selected.
Our edtech startup Smartnotes graduated from YC Startup School 20 - a fully online program - and it was AWESOME. We've applied for S20 and have a closed beta going LIVE tomorrow... sharing here first! 🖖 https://beta.smartnotes.ai
This is so great. I agree with this since founders are the breed who knows survival skills. This goes back to Darwin theory. Sometimes it may be difficult on Zoom since you never know how your internet or network will behave that time. I would suggest to have the zoom link handy in case your internet goes down and you have to dial from phone. Thanks Dalton for sharing. Appreciated.
This is really helpful Dalton. We are excited to be doing an interview with YC in May! So pumped. You guys are amazing and we look forward to continuing to grow a valuable company with your help, guidance, advice, and support!!! Be well out there.
I think that its cool that we're going forward. I'd be super disappointed not to have a chance at this time and I'm glad you guys are plowing ahead.
Remote interviews don't fuss me at all, but do you have thoughts on how the coming demo day will work? I worry that some of the impact of will be lost. The pageantry and ceremony of it is part of it; as well as the ability to directly rub grubby virus covered elbows with the hoi polloi of Sand Hill.
I think that it can be done, but I suspect a lot more work is going to have to go into producing video interviews with founders etc.
It’s not the fittest who survives, it’s always the most adaptable one.
You are right, extraordinary circumstances require extraordinary measures. We would love to be one of the companies YC are going to fund in this batch.
It's a great opportunity for us, thank Dalton Caldwell for good news and really support , we the S20 Batch. We know the dangerous effect of COVID-19 and we pray together with you for it's ending.

Thank you for the insight, Dalton. Way to be adaptable and resilient!
Thanks! Dalton--As companies have to morph and adapt in these trying times, so is YC. You guys are awesome!

This is great news. Perhaps there can be a smaller remote cohort going forward where partners can travel to regions to have meetings.
